About Dodge City Community College Student Computer Labs

Student Computer Labs

Dodge City Community College operates computer labs in the Technical Center Computer building, Humanities 215 and in the Learning Resource Center for the use of the entire student body.

 Lab monitors are available in the Technical Center Computer Lab for your assistance. Lab hours are determined each year by the computer lab faculty.

Technical Center Computer Lab

The Technical Center Computer Lab (TCCL) is the main computer lab on campus. The TCCL offers hands on experience with Personal Computers. The lab functions as a classroom as well as a lab, offering a full range of current computer applications, programming, networking, web design and computer maintenance. The lab houses cutting edge computers with high speed internet access.

Microsoft Office Specialist Certification exams are administered in the TCCL by arrangement with the Business Technology Professor.  Exams are also administered at the conclusion of each of the Microsoft Office application courses, for those who wish to become certified.

The TCCL serves all current students, faculty and staff on campus. Computer Science, Business Technology and Information Technology classes are taught in the lab and classroom serving about 225 students per day. In addition, the Cisco Networking Academy is located within the Technical Center Computer Lab.

Lab monitors are available for your assistance.

Lab hours are determined each semester by the Technical Center Computer Lab faculty. Currently, the TCCL is open from 7:30 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. on Friday, and from Noon until 10:00 p.m. on Sunday. The TCCL is reserved on Saturdays for special interest classes and seminars.

OPEN LAB HOURS ARE POSTED ON THE LAB DOORS.

Humanities 215 Computer Lab

The Humanities Computer Lab is located on the second floor of the Humanities Building in Room 215. 

Graphic Design courses are taught in this lab including Digital Image Editing, Advertising Graphics, Web Animation Programming and Desktop Publishing. 

Adobe Design Premium CS4 is available for use during open lab hours.  This includes Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Bridge, and Device Central.

The lab serves all current students, faculty, and staff on campus. 

 Lab monitors are available for your assistance during open lab hours.
 

A schedule of open lab hours is posted outside the door at Humanities 215

Open hours for the Spring 2009 semester are:
Monday through Thursday: 12:00 – 5:00 and Friday:12:00 – 4:00
